22: I Wanna Dance With Somebody
Did you ever watch someone dance and you just NEEDED to dance with them?? Something about the way they danced made you feel like you have to share in that moment with them? Yeah. Me too. This show is mostly about bipolar. I watched the documentary “Of Two Minds” on Amazon Prime and it made me think a lot about my own experiences being in relationships with people who deal with a bipolar brain. I wish we had more positive labels for the experience. I wish we all understood those friends more. They make our world much more exciting. Let’s all work on that, okay? I’ll see you on Thursday, folks.
21: Connecting
Aww, look, it’s episode 21 of Apocaleptic! Our baby is all grown up. It can legally drink now and has the proper maturity level to vote. Later tonight it will gather with other 21 year old podcasts and chug tequila through a funnel in its rectum. Can’t tell you how proud I am. Today’s show is about connecting with other human beings. If you prefer not to, see above suggestion about tequila, funnel and rectum.
#20: A Cancer Within the Regulators
Welcome to Apocaleptic #20, friends! So sorry about Thursday’s show accidentally getting trashed. Today, on this MLK Day Monday, I reflect on civil rights and the progress as well as the lack thereof which seems to have happened over the course of my own lifetime. What has been your experience? Reach out and let me know! Thanks for listening to the show and for your support.
Big Bang
Well, it happened.
I suspected it might and was dreading if it did but, yeah. It did.
I recorded what I think might have been my best show so far and when I went to do the editing, the file showed as corrupt. Not usable. Garbage.
I really don’t think I could ever duplicate the vibe and the content of the show. I got on a roll. It was good. I was having fun and I was thinking it was going to be a show that touched a lot of people.
I suppose it was intended only for me. Oh well. I’m going to try not to dwell on it. But I’m also not going to try again today so that means Thursday show is out. Not gonna happen. I apologize. I hope it doesn’t happen again. I mentioned how I don’t really trust this SD Card storage system in this new recorder I’m using. I guess I know to really double-check everything from now on.
Crap.
I’ll see you on Monday.
19: Worship Me!
Hello friends! Welcome to episode 19 of Apocaleptic! We’re almost out of our teens and soon will be of legal drinking age and on the prowl! This week I’m considering the food dishes that it’s impossible to screw up. Also, I iaccidentally nvent a pretty great holiday beverage even though it’s long after the holidays. Why do we need holy men? Holy people? Don’t they just exist to make us feel bad about ourselves? Time for them to go away! It was fun making this show for you this week. Hope you enjoy it.
18: How to Be Creative
I have returned from my mountain vacation and survived the incredible disappointment of my shattered plans! Eh, no problem. On a positive note, I watched, by far, the worst film ever made. Don’t believe me? You can check it out for yourself. Are you a creative person? Would you like to be but don’t know how? I share my secret technique for tapping into and making use of creativity. And it doesn’t cost a thing! Happy 2023 everyone! Make a resolution to share the podcast with your friends (and enemies).
17: Getting Lucky
Happy 2023 everyone! I decided to release Monday’s show a couple days early. After all, there is valuable information here that can keep you lucky all year! Stay safe and well out there!
16: My Date With 2022
Goodbye 2022, ya bastard. For me, the year was full of loss but, strangely, I came out totally fine. I’m doing good how about you? I said goodbye to some friends, family members and company activities. I ate some good food and watched some great documentaries. I grew spiritually. I made some jokes about poop. Never let them typecast you! I found a couple new favorites this year like the music of Adeem The Artist and the spiritual works of Clare Dimond. Flogging Molly‘s new album restored my faith in legacy bands. Thanks to everyone who came on the Apocaleptic journey with me this year. Here’s to an even better 2023!
15: I’d Like to Thank the Little People
The holidays are mostly done! Have you enjoyed them? I often wonder what it’s like for people who have no religious connection to any of the holidays being forced to encounter them. Also, why is it all of the big movie bosses seem to have little people as their labor force? Santa, Willy Wonka, Keebler Cookies? Where is the logic? I’m not making resolutions this year but I do have a couple of goals. One in particular which I think is very restricting. Maybe you’ll make it a goal too. Thanks for listening everyone!
14: Lubricating the Pole
This is the last show before Christmas. Is it our Christmas episode?? Nah, I don’t think there is a proper Christmas episode this year. Nonetheless, I discuss Santa Claus and becoming an unbeliever. Also, you probably don’t know everything you really need to know about the North Pole. So, in honor of the big fat man, here are some facts for you. Geez, I really shouldn’t talk about myself that way, should I? Merry Holidays everyone!
